Global Alert Insurance - don't do it!

well, I think the OP got some good advice to focus on the policy vs. the verbal communications and file a protest. I wonder whatever happened?

 

I would like to know that Global Alert did meet the contract/policy requirements.

Had a claim on Jaguar one time where I was being seriously lowballed by a 3rd party claims adjuster.

 

I mean so low it was laughable. When I said "not acceptable" will talk with supervisor and insurance company - complete reversed position, basically said - bring me the bills when finished.

 

There are other instances, also.

 

So, while you may gain by giving it a shot, you lose nothing but a bit of effort.

Does anyone else have any good/bad experience with Global Alert?

 

I am looking at getting their Preferred plan (about $150, for our forthcoming cruise, about $2,350).

We just had a really good experience with Global Alert. My husband experienced

Heart attack symptoms when we were driving from Pa to fl to take a cruise. (We were then planning to stay in Florida for a week post cruise.).

 

We had to put all charges though our primary insurance company before we could file a claim with Global. Global reimbursed us for all monies not covered by our primary insurance. This included all of our HRA plus all of our deduct able, and a follow- up cardiologist visit while we were in Fl. I would not hesitate to use them again.

What matters is what the policy states it will cover...
