LMA5876 Posted April 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2012 Booked an oceanview on Glory for June 10th sailing to Canada. Just wondering if anyone knows which cabin would be better, the side ones or the aft corner ones? I know they are both 220 sq ft but the corners look wider and like they would have more room. Thanks. Roce48 Posted April 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2012 We also are going on that June 10th cruise, and had to decide between a side aft or a corner aft cabin. We selected a side cabin because I find that looking at things as we pass them by a little nauseating. Also I like seeing something starting with a smaller view and then deciding whether I should focus my attention on it as it nears and readying my camera for the best shot. Carnival_Brides Posted April 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2012 We're also on that cruise! We chose a midship OV to hopefully prevent sea-sickness.
USNUZULOOSE Posted April 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2012 This was our OV on the rivera deck just to give you an idea. We were mid ship

Some corner rooms even have two windows. We have cabin 2470 booked on the Glory for the June 23 sailing and although the room is listed as 220 sq feet, it is actually as big as a suite with two windows and a sitting area with a couch and two chairs. Rare finoky Posted April 28, 2012 #8 Share Posted April 28, 2012 We had that cabin on the Valor in November and booked the same one on the Freedom in a few weeks. There will be some vibration when coming in and out of ports but it didn't bother us at all. We loved the cabin!
willyy Posted April 28, 2012 #9 Share Posted April 28, 2012 We're also on that cruise! We chose a midship OV to hopefully prevent sea-sickness. There was a nice price drop on the ocean views for that cruise, just a heads up, saw it a minute ago.

Rare finoky Posted April 28, 2012 #11 Share Posted April 28, 2012 Haha, I hadn't noticed my bottle from Bon Voyage in the background. Wouldn't that be a nice perk!

Quick question about this cabin (2470)...is the couch small/shorter than usual?? I really wanted to bring a 3rd person, but this cabin is only rated for 2....??? I don't understand why they don't make those larger cabins able to accommodate 3rd & 4th passengers...(Like the Vista Suites too)....they would rather make you stuff 3 or 4 people into a regular room??...I don't get it... Rare finoky Posted April 28, 2012 #13 Share Posted April 28, 2012 The couch was the normal size that I have seen in all the other cabins I have been in. My wife was saying the same thing that we could have a third in there because the cabin is so big. However, you are right. It's only allowed 2 guests. AnitaVacation Posted April 28, 2012 #14 Share Posted April 28, 2012 Well....Carnival's loss.....I have a friend that I know I could talk into coming along as a 3rd....but I am not willing to give up that large cabin only to scrunch 3ppl in a regular cabin.... There are still alot of cabins available, so, maybe if there is a last minute price drop, I can talk her into going and bringing a friend.... hansolosmom Posted April 28, 2012 #15 Share Posted April 28, 2012 I saw that cabin too and thought wow - but it's only a 2 person. :( it seems that all the OVs on Glory have a 3rd bed as a Pullman only balconies or above show a couch for the 3rd person. I was hoping to take my mom & sister on a 5day Canada but once I factor in tips with the fare the balcony is too much for me
bm6pm5 Posted April 28, 2012 #16 Share Posted April 28, 2012 We will be on Glory May 21 and have 2473. Only our 2nd cruise but took it for the space advantage. From what I have read there is some vibration pulling in and out of port but other than that most what I have read is positive. Will try and post some pics and review of the room after the cruise. Vidimom Posted April 28, 2012 #17 Share Posted April 28, 2012 We had 2470 on the Glory and would book it again in a flat second! Loved all the extra room and two windows. Vibrations were only noticed pulling into and leaving ports. No noise factors at all. If you go to wwwdotcruiselineroomsdotcom and pull up the Glory cabin 2470, all my pictures are on there. It's identical to the one posted above. Don't give it up! It's a hidden gem!
