jingle Posted April 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Our tender lands us in Cannes and we want to see Nice also. Is it better to take the train or the bus between these two? Is it easy to get a taxi in Nice to see the town? Is the Tourist Tram fun to take and where do you pick it up?
Mike Andrews Posted April 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2004 I would take the train it's only a 30 minute journey.
Rare Hlitner Posted April 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 As usual, Mike has it right! The train connection between these cities (and all the other coastal towns on the Riviera) is excellent. Buses are much slower, and you run the risk of some awful traffic jams. As to Nice, the best way to see any town is on your feet (assuming you have no disability). You can walk from the Promenade des Anglais over to the old town area and all the way up the boulevard to the Palais des Congres. In the end you will have walked 2 or 3 miles, but its fun. Emerald22 Posted May 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2004 How long would the train ride be, from Villefranche to Cannes? Can anyone tell me?

jody Posted May 18, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2004 Just make sure you know where the Cannes train station is in advance. We walked all over last summer and could not find it even after asking the crew how to get there. It's apparently not marked well. We found train tracks under a road we were on, but could never find the station.
