Hilton MVP Rate?

So, if I understand the info on this link, the special rates are not available necessarily simply by plugging in special codes on any reservation by any Hilton Honors member ... there is a qualification process. If I am correct, the OP, and anyone else bent on a Hilton discount, needs to be aware of that.

You can book your room right on the MVP website. It will hook to your Hilton confirmations and if you need to edit or cancel you can do so later on the regular Hilton website. The website can be used by any Hilton member despite what it says. There is a long thread on the Fort Lauderdale ports board (which is how I discovered it) telling you can use it and people posting with no issues.

Dh and I used it last year and it worked fine. Saved about $30 a night at the embassy suites:)
