Luggage

We are transfering from the QM2 to the QV on June 5, does Cunard make any provision for transferring the luggage between ships? Are we stuck with the suitcases until boarding the QV?

 

Also later that month we've got a day between the QV and QM2 going home. If we want to go on a Cunard excursion in Southampton the day of debarkation, is there anywhere to store luggage at the terminal or otherwise before checking into a hotel in Soton?

As far as I know Cunard will arganise getting you and your luggage from QM2 to QV. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to store your luggage at the terminal. The best bet would be to take it to the hotel and ask them to store it for you.

 

Cunard excursions can be expensive, where were you thinking of going?

Was thinking of Stonehenge, of course we can take the train the next day but thought I could put the debarkation day to good use then check into the De Vere.

We've done this a couple of times and Cunard always has had a bus to take passengers and luggage to the next ship. They even did it between the QM2 and a Princess ship in Southampton because there were so many people continuing on Princess.

 

Most likely your luggage will go into the bottom of your tour bus the day you disembark and ride around with you but you probably should check with Cunard about that and where they drop you off after the tour.
