Rare WesW Posted May 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Tom, Pls see this Silverspirit blog entry; vid shows a Silver Spirit being mixed. http://blog.silversea.com/post/2010/05/06/CLASSY-COCKTAILS-e280a6-AND-THEYRE-INCLUDED.aspx Ingredients: SILVER SPIRIT SIGNATURE COCKTAIL 2 oz Plymouth gin 2 oz St Germain elderflower liqueur 1.5 oz New Zealand sauvignon blanc 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lime juice Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker half filled with ice cubes. Shake until very chilled; serve straight up in martini glass with wedge of lime. We'll be on the Cloud this November (crossing) and give it a try. Travelcat2 Posted May 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2012 Darn...... now you spoiled the intrigue! Actually, I do not care for the Silver Spirit ship - too plastic for our tastes. However, we love the Whisper and Shadow. I applaud the bartenders in the Horizon Lounge for having the receipe:)

I don't care for "regular" Martini cocktails, either shaken or stirred, but I quite fancy a glass of that recipe. Might ask for one in 4 weeks time. Rare RachelG Posted May 6, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 6, 2012 I agree, Tom. Regular martinis just aren't my thing, though I might like this.
Threechicks Posted May 6, 2012 #10 Share Posted May 6, 2012 I love vodka martinis but I wonder if this recipe might be too sweet for me. I'm not familiar with the elderflower liqueur.
freddie Posted May 7, 2012 #11 Share Posted May 7, 2012 The liquer is St-Germain, which is available on all Silversea and Regent ships, in our experience. It is quite good simply mixed with champagne but also good in a whole raft of cocktails. Here is their take on cocktails: http://www.stgermain.fr/cocktails.php
mp8shnt Posted May 8, 2012 #12 Share Posted May 8, 2012 Had a few of the Silver Spirit Martinis on the Cloud last month. They were refreshing! Also had Pommery with Elderflower at lunch. That too was refreshing.
JPR Posted May 10, 2012 #13 Share Posted May 10, 2012 A chacun son gout. I'm a classic dry gin martini drinker, with only a twist. "I enjoy martinis, but two at the most. After three I'm under the table, after four I'm under my host." --Dorothy Parker
