Robin122 Posted May 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2012 Can anyone who has RECENTLY sailed tell me if the shampoo/conditioner etc provided is still the Gilchrist & Soames Zero% brand? Since it's sulfate free, it should be fine for color treated hair, but I want to make sure that's what they are still using. Thanks! Robin
vickiw0318 Posted May 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2012 It was still Gilchrist and Soames, but I didn't read the bottle that closely.
Robin122 Posted May 10, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted May 10, 2012 This is what the Zero% bottles look like (I'm sure there's less info on the small bottles, but it shows the general look of the product) Someone told me they were using the English Spa collection now and that won't work for color treated hair (it has Sulfates in it, unlike the Zero%) This is what that product looks like:

Jiffymom Posted May 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2012 I always take my own shampoo also a small body of moisturizing body wash. The sun is cruel to your skin.
Robin122 Posted May 15, 2012 Author #8 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Yay! I've used the Zero% @ home and I LOVE it! Such a nice fresh smell! And it feels good too! (It's really dry in Colorado, so if it does OK here, it should be amazing at sea!)
sucramfree13 Posted May 15, 2012 #9 Share Posted May 15, 2012 I just got off. The shampoo was Gilchrist & Soames. I remember looking at the ingredients and seeing sulfates but its possible I just didn't read well as i brought my own sulfate-free shampoo
Robin122 Posted May 15, 2012 Author #10 Share Posted May 15, 2012 hmmmm... sounds like sometimes the use zero% and sometimes the English Spa (or whatever it's called) crud. Guess I'll pack my stuff just to be safe. sigh.
