citoman Posted May 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 3, 2005 Has anyone stayed in any of these hotels: Holiday Inn Rome-West or Holiday Inn Rome-East(Express). My family and I are planning to stay in Rome for 3 nights after our cruise and are considering these two hotels since they have reasonable prices and allows our family of 4 to stay in one room. I will appreciate any comments/suggestions regarding these two hotels.

I believe these hotels are not anywhere near the city center, and you will be using a lot of time to commute into the city.I think they are near the airport.Check them out on Trip Advisor.I would check to see if you can find something within the city center to make you stay more enjoyable IMHO. cberge Posted May 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2005 I believe they are between 4 to 5 miles from the city center. I will check on the Trip Advisor. Thanks for your suggestion! That is still quite a ways away especially if you want to be out and about at night. There is so much to see and do in Rome, and walking around at night is just one of them.Piazza Navona is a neat place to be at night and there are a lot of places to eat around the area as well.I would check into some 2 or 3 star hotles in the city center.Trip Advisor should be of great help to you. Good luck and enjoy your stay in Rome.
