MermaidMomma Posted May 11, 2013 #26 Share Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) Here are the photos from our visit to Elbow Beach Resort last August. We will be renting a Spa Cabana, with my sister and her family this coming Thursday, May 16 (send us sunnnnny vibes!), so we will be sure to take some photos of the inside of the Cabana. I'll post them when we get back! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151012019840759.422450.645735758&type=1 Edited May 11, 2013 by MermaidMomma

cruisenshop Posted May 22, 2013 #30 Share Posted May 22, 2013 Thank you! Enjoy your trip! Thanks in advance for the future photos! Hi - not to hijack the thread but the link to your pictures were fantastic. Did you have a s6? Also it looks like sofa bed was in separate room than king? We are on the Breakaway in a few weeks but I am looking ahead for Easter and want a suite that will afford privacy for sleeping if my daughter brings a friend. Looking forward to mandarin spa cabana pictures too- still on the fence with that since we are a large group and would need Many cabanas.... MermaidMomma Posted May 22, 2013 #34 Share Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) Thank you so much!!!! Ours is booked for June and this helps a lot :) we will be having lunch at the resort, which restaurants are your favorite? We loved Mickey's for lunch on the beach last Aug and last week. Service is attentive and accomodating. Menu is fresh, tasty. We, 4 Adults, two NYC teens, and one very sophisticated (she eats escargots, oysters...) preschooler were quite happy with our lunch. We will go back! Have an awesome cruise, and a great time in Bermuda! :) And last year's album... MermaidMomma Posted May 23, 2013 #38 Share Posted May 23, 2013 Did you pay ahead of time or when you got there? You call and talk to Eko in the Spa, she books the reservation, and takes a credit card to hold your reservation. We paid with another card when we arrived. Today 12:04 PM green eyed lady Also are their lounge chairs and umbrellas already set up on the beach? Yes, lounge chairs and umbrellas were set up when we got to the beach at lunch time. ceili662 Posted July 21, 2013 #39 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Hi, This info was really helpful - loved your photos! I have learned from the Elbow Beach resort that they offer 2 different types of cabanas. The poolside cabanas are what you used for $495. There are also beachside cabanas that don't have as many amenities - basically, water, ice, chairs, umbrellas - for $300 for 2-4 people. Did you happen to see those? I can't seem to find any photos or solid description of them. I've been emailing with the hotel concierge and have asked but, so far, have not gotten any description back. Thanks, Erin
MermaidMomma Posted July 21, 2013 #40 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Hi Erin, I am glad our experience and pictures have been helpful. :) This is the first I have heard of the beach cabanas. Interesting news. I would love to learn more about them as you gather more information. From your post, it seems the hotel is managing the reservations for the beach cabanas. The spa handles the poolside (spa) cabanas, and they have been extremely responsive, and attentive. While, I did not have a bad experience with the hotel management, I can't say enough about the high quality of customer service we received from Eko in the spa. Happy researching! And please keep us posted here! Jo Anne Hi, This info was really helpful - loved your photos! I have learned from the Elbow Beach resort that they offer 2 different types of cabanas. Just did a google search as well as looked at the hotel site and haven't found anything.
ceili662 Posted July 22, 2013 #42 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Hello, My information comes directly from two sources at the hotel. The hotel concierge and I emailed back and forth over 2 days about it (they were very quick to respond and very helpful - the only thing they can't seem to provide me is a description of the actual structure.) Also, the spa (Eko Lestari) and I emailed back and forth over days about it. The spa actually provided me a menu of options for the beach cabana ranging in price from $300-$400. They also pointed out that the beach cabana does not have pool access. Feel free to email the hotel yourself about it to confirm. The email address I used is: ebbda-concierge@mohg.com and EBBDA-Spa@mohg.com. Erin

The email address I used is: ebbda-concierge@mohg.com and EBBDA-Spa@mohg.com. Erin When we checked in for our spa cabana, the desk clerk did ask if it was a spa or beach cabana. I told him spa (as I didn't know there were beach cabanas) and he escorted us to the spa/pool area. I looked everywhere on the beach and didn't see any structures at all, so I am also very curious as to what these elusive beach bungalows :) are! ETA: Sounds from the description above that it's not a structure, but just chairs, etc. on the beach?? We got the beach chairs w/covers, towels (all set up for us by the attnedant), water and ice included in our spa cabana rental. Also, the food and beverage service on the beach was attentive and very good. Edited July 22, 2013 by cruisinsuz
ceili662 Posted October 6, 2013 #47 Share Posted October 6, 2013 I just got back from Bermuda. I got the details about all options from the staff at the Elbow Beach resort. 1. Pool Cabana - as described earlier; there are several of them. We stayed in one and it was really lovely. And, as others described, they do set up chairs with umbrellas and towels and a cooler with water on the beach. 2. Beach Cabana - there are only 2 of these and one is for hotel guests. They are pretty tent structures with a roof and then curtains tied back to the poles which you could close if you wanted privacy. Under the roof are chairs, water, cooler. But, last week, the beach erosion for the winter had started which prevented the resort from setting up the 2nd cabana for us. That is why we ended up in the pool cabana. 3. For $65, you can rent two beach chairs, an umbrella, and 2 towels. This also gives you access to their common shower and bathroom area and changing areas which are all very nice. All of the above should be reserved in advance through the hotel. BEST to use the spa email address I provided earlier.

The girl there seemed to think that a rental of the Spa Cabana did not include lounge chairs and an umbrella at the beach. She said she thought it would be an additional $65 per couple, in addition to the $495 for the spa cabana. Does anyone know if this is true? Since the 2016 tourist season hasn't started yet it's unlikely anyone here can anssaer your question at this time. It's too soon.
LauriPedal Posted June 24, 2016 #50 Share Posted June 24, 2016 We are looking to rent beach cabana when we go to Elbow beach in July. I was wondering if anyone know what they look like, possibly has pic they can post, and advise if it is worth the cost? I can't find much updated info or pics online and most of the other posts are from 2013 or previous. Thank you for any info that can be provided.
