Classy1 Posted May 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Just wondering what the cabins are like on this ship. We are booked into room 1456 Inside cabin at the very back. I dont think im happy with the position and would like some other views of it. (cant find any cruisers photos of it) I have just been on a cruise with another ship and even though we had an inside room it was great apart from being very dark (obviously expected) and not really knowing what time of day it was. The good thing there was we were on the 7th floor close to everything. would it be advisable to upgrade to an outside cabin or even try to get one on a higher floor. thanks

Do you want an outside room? 2. Do you want a room closer to the Lido (pool deck/food deck)? 3. Do you want a room closer to the promenade (lounges, casino, shops, bars)? These will help me help you.......lol.
Classy1 Posted May 29, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Hi, We would like to have a window just so dont feel so enclosed and would like to be closer to amenities but thats not really an issue as got legs!!. also the price is a major issue. Ive been on website (uk version) and we can get a restricted view for a reasonable price or ocean view for £20 more than that. and they seem to be on the decks higher up. Im presuming its restricted because of the lifeboats. Just dont really want the noise of engines. got no children & dont usually get involved with games etc. thanks

Im presuming its restricted because of the lifeboats. Just dont really want the noise of engines. got no children & dont usually get involved with games etc. thanks Don't quote me, but I think the window rooms actually have a little more floor space, so check the sqft on that and the natural light is nice if you want more of a natural alarm clock instead of a electronic one. I will say that deck 6 is a nice deck b/c you are right above the promenade and just two decks below lido. Just be careful about being above something noisey since the promenade is right below you. Most people say the LOVE deck seven b/c there are rooms below and above you. If you want lower decks for the money, I would go with deck 3 or 4. Though remember that deck four is right below promenade, so again, check for what is above your room before deciding. I haven't had one of the restricted views, but I understand they are quite handy and money saving for what they are. Apparently, there is also obstructed views on the forward of the Liberty, not sure which deck. But these rooms are right outside the "secret deck." Someone on our cruise has this room booked and says its pretty much like having your own private balcony that is like 4x the size. Did I help at all? lol. firefly333 Posted May 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2012 OP, there are PT categories for inside price, port holes that are actually larger than a inside, if any are left you can switch to. It is true, on this ship a inside is 185 s.f. and a OV is 220 s.f. and will also have a sofa of some kind.

pickles1942 Posted May 30, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 30, 2012 I've had a window on 6th floor and a inside on the bottom. I am claustropobic and never had a problem with the inside with no windows. We get balconies now because we got spoiled by booking the first one. However I would have no problem going back to an inside if it meant that was all I could afford, infact are thinking of trying to cruise at least twice a year and will probably do a inside, You are basically only sleeping in there and if the dark bothers you bring a nightlight.
