6rugrats Posted June 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2012 Routing? Class of service? Are you booking through Etihad, but actually flying on Air Berlin and Virgin Australia?
icat2000 Posted June 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I've flown on Etihad Airways several times and have found their service to be very good. I travel cattle. Virgin Australia I have only flown domestically in Australia and have had no problems.
Zach1213 Posted June 20, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I have a colleague who flew Virgin Australia longhaul (LAX-SYD) and said they were fine - no big difference from any other airline in economy class. I've flown them domestically and they were just fine. Same colleague has flown Etihad (he's Middle Eastern so travels back to that area frequently and has tried almost all the airlines in the region), and says they're pretty good in economy class. Slightly better than you would expect from, say, a European or North American carrier.
new salt Posted June 23, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2012 Has anyone any experience of using this/these airlines or thoughts about them please. We´re looking at flight to Sydney Sandy in Spain Airberlin is fine; competent crews and well maintained aircraft, but it is still a metal tube in which you sit for hours. No way is long haul flying something to be savoured. Try and break your journey if possible.
