jasbo49 Posted June 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Since we spend (usually) a week or more in them, a cruise ship's bed seems pretty important to me. Which line do you think has the most comfortable beds? I know some people like them firmer than others and all that stuff. I just wonder what people's favorite cruise line is strictly for bed comfort (and I guess quality of linens could be thrown in). I haven't been on enough cruises to justify a real vote, but I liked the last two, Carnival Paradise and Norwegian Jewel. The others are really too long ago for me to remember. Thanks. Rare Keith1010 Posted June 30, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Jim this really comes down to personal preference. If we all thought a bed was the best we would also buy the same bed. The beds are not only going to vary by cruise line but also by ship. Keith
paul929207 Posted June 30, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 30, 2012 People on the Princess pages can't decide whether their beds are to hard, to soft of just right. You will never get a concensus for all lines. It is to each his own.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 30, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I just wanted to add to what I posted earlier the same will be true when it comes to pillows. Keith
Assateague Island Princes Posted June 30, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Holland America has got to have the best beds on the high seas! They are dreamy comfortable, best sleep I've had in years has been on a HAL ship! Love, love, love it! They're so good, they even sell them on their website! Now ... if I can just get past the thing I have about some of the dress code ****s on the HAL board ... Paul, Keith: I wasn't planning to settle once and for all whose beds are definitively best, just get some opinions from those who've "slept around" on a number of lines. indigosails Posted June 30, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I like HAL's beds. I like Oceania's beds, too.
jocap Posted June 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted June 30, 2012 NCL Jade had very comfortable beds, with excellent bed linen, though I think the beds had a foam mattress topper on. The 2 newest P&O ships were very comfortable, same quality linen as NCL... although some of the pillows felt a bit well-washed.... No problems with my one cruise each on Princess, Thomson and Louis, but I can't say they were particularily memorable. Daisyloo Posted June 30, 2012 #9 Share Posted June 30, 2012 I have to agree that the HAL beds are wonderful. Not only the beds themselves but the linens too. Heavenly.
SuitCaseBears Posted June 30, 2012 #10 Share Posted June 30, 2012 As between Princess, Crystal, Regent and HAL, we found the HAL beds the best. I actually miss them when we leave the ship.

OCruisers Posted June 30, 2012 #12 Share Posted June 30, 2012 As the joke goes .... Princess beds are the best -- never a fear of bed bugs! They're so hard even the bed bugs don't want to sleep on them. :D

donaldsc Posted July 1, 2012 #19 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Sort of depends upon how hard you like your bed. That is why "Sleep Number Beds" are so popular. DON
