Ocean Boy Posted July 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2012 $48.30 including gratuity when you buy online. :) It depends on the length of the cruise. I think it is $6.50 per day for adults.
MORcrzr Posted July 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2012 It depends on the length of the cruise. I think it is $6.50 per day for adults. You are right! :D Thanks for clarifying -- the one we purchased last month online was $6 per night plus 15% gratuity. The bill for the 7 nights was $42.00 plus $6.30 gratuity = $48.30. idalia Posted July 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2012 If you buy online before your cruise it is $6/day for adults, or $4/day for kids, plus 15% gratuity. It is slightly more if you buy once onboard $6.50/day for adults ($4.50(?)/day kids), plus 15% gratuity.

Rare LittleMissMagic Posted July 7, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 7, 2012 When we purchased on our last cruise, we bought the evening of the first night, and they didn't charge us for the first day of the package. However, they had also run out of souvenir mugs (Monarch of the Seas - first time this has ever happened to us). Note that if you purchase while onboard in port, you will also pay taxes. Rare ggo85 Posted July 8, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 8, 2012 When deciding whether to purchase the soda package, consider how many port days you have. In order to make the package "worth it" financially, you need to drink an average of about 3 cans of soda per day. At sea, that's not a problem. If you're in port all day every day, you probably won't have more than a couple of sodas upon your return. So, you may be better off buying by the can, so to speak. Of course, some folks like the convenience of being able to drink however much soda they want whenever they want without the hassle of paying for each drink. That's probably worth something.:)

I have never paid a tax just 15% gratuity. Usually buy when I first get on except last cruise in Feb. Purchased on line before the cruise.
