kcparrothead Posted July 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I can't believe I've never tried it on the ship! Does it taste like "real" lemonade or more like Country Time lemonade (similar to Koolaid?)
SadieN Posted July 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2012 Tastes nothing like lemonade made from our lemons. For a more lemon taste I put lemons into water. The stuff onboard is too sweet and watered down for me.
forwardcabin Posted July 14, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2012 It's really good with some liquor or wine in it.
firefly333 Posted July 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I think it tastes close to real like from a carton, not like from a powder. They have lemons next to it if you want more lemon flavor.
ccruisequeen Posted July 14, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2012 They refill the machines with Lemonade from a carton.
golfadj Posted July 14, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I will often mix the lemonade with the ice tea and add some more lemons to it.
MomofBoyz Posted July 14, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2012 Thin, tart and carton-y. Good only over lots of ice on a hot day in my opinion. It tastes kind of like it's sweetened with Sweet and Low?

Nope, its not SF, though RCL does have SF flavored water sweetened with splenda. Its sweetened with sugar, sorry to say.

Not_Done_Living Posted July 14, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 14, 2012 On the Ecstasy in April I had to do a 50/50 mix with the lemonade and water -- it was WAY to tart for me-- not watery at all.
kwagmyre Posted July 14, 2012 #12 Share Posted July 14, 2012 Ah. An Arnold Palmer. My preference too!!! Yeah. that's exactly what we did too, when we didn't want water, and didn't want to buy soft drinks. Worked out pretty well. but then again, we drink mad AP at home in the summer, it's kind of our "goto" drink.
golfadj Posted July 14, 2012 #13 Share Posted July 14, 2012 Ah. An Arnold Palmer. My preference too!!! Wish they had larger glasses on lido though as it takes too long to make 4 small glasses.

That's what we found this week on the Glory. I don't remember it being that tart in the past, so they may have changed it recently.
MomofBoyz Posted July 14, 2012 #15 Share Posted July 14, 2012 A related topic would be the new OJ in the dining room. Wow. Warm, thin and bitter. Seriously nasty! Hoping it was just the particular sailing I was on.

alabamaprincess Posted July 14, 2012 #17 Share Posted July 14, 2012 I like it plain on ice and with iced tea mixed in. I also enjoy the orange/guava juice in the morning on lido. I try to get some on ice before the replace it with tea and lemonade.
wrigley80 Posted July 15, 2012 #18 Share Posted July 15, 2012 I love the Lemonade onboard. It is quite tart. I like it because it has pulp in it....you dont find that too often

iott family Posted July 15, 2012 #20 Share Posted July 15, 2012 We all liked the lemonade on our cruise back in Oct 2011 on the Valor. Was quite tart and cold. Oldest DS liked mixing it with tea and DH always filled up my mug at night with ice and lemonade before going back to room for bed.
