cc waddles Posted July 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2012 We are cruising on Victory at the end of the summer. First time on carnival and the kids are excited and especially looking forward to using the waterslide. Is the waterslide open when we board the ship....Is it in operation during the port days......I just read a post where the waterslide didn't open till the sea day. KPGirl Posted July 19, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2012 not sure about when you board but definitely on port days, my kids had it all to them selves once when we boarded early in Jamaica.
RWolver672 Posted July 19, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Sometimes they will close it down in inclement weather.

k2excursion Posted July 19, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2012 It usually only closes for weather reasons. I've had it closed a few times on embarkation day because the weather was cold. Other than weather reasons, whatever hours it keeps, it will be open those hours every day of your cruise. Their waterslides are so much fun! Remember, it's not for kids only. It's for everyone, so make sure that you get up there and ride it too!
Rare mizLORInj Posted July 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Sometimes it's open day of embarkation, sometimes not. Makes no sense--open in NYC usually but it wasn't in Miami! If it is open day of embarkation and you board early, you may have it to yourself for a few hours. LOVE the waterslides--not just for kids. Tampa Bay Irish Posted July 19, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 19, 2012 We've been on 7 Carnival and 2 Costa cruises and all the ships had water slides. The hours of operation really varied. It's never open as much as you think it should be, even when the weather is fine.
