Silly ? But need direction. Barcelona

Traveling with 18 month old Nov 2013. There has to be a place in Barcelona where we can purchase diapers, pampers or Huggies. Any suggestions as we really do not want to bring in our limited luggage 2 weeks worth of diapers.

Any farmacia (pharmacy) or supermarket will have them.

 

The word in Spanish is pañales para bebé (pañales desechables for disposables)

 

You can easily find a pharmacy by looking for a big green cross

 

 

We have both Huggies and Pampers here.

 

If you are near Las Ramblas there is a Carrefour Express supermarket there. They definitely sell them.

Yes the Carrefour Express is about 3/4 of the way up Ramblas on the left as you walk from the pier. If yuo plan on but alot you might consider a taxi for the return trip to the ship as it would be a bit of a walk with a load of diapers.

I guess that would be size 4, the 9-15 kg size.

 

Depending on packaging and brand they will range from averaging around .15 euro each unit to .45 on the very high end, with .25 being the norm. Store brands are often always at the low price while branded would fall in that range if on sale. Buy one package get one at half price offers are common.

 

That would be about $0.17 to $0.50 unit price.

El Corte Ingles supermarket at Plaza Catalunya or Carrefour Express on the Rambles next to the Le Meridian hotel would be the best places.

 

There is a Lidl discount supermarket near to the port, but it is not on a main road but is the closest to the actual port entrance.
