Aft loungers on ships 2,600 SOB or less

If you mean Fall 2012, you can just squeak by with the Grand Princess, with 2594 passengers and lots of aft decks with a pool, hot tubs and great views off the back of the ship.

If you mean Fall 2013, there will no longer be any Princess options that meet your criteria; however, Holland America has very nice ships, even smaller, with wonderful aft deck pool areas.

You might find it a little more to your liking on a 10 day R/T Panama which is the only decent Caribbean cruise left for Princess. And IMO a very good Caribbean cruise on the Island or Coral which ever is doing it when you go. Excellent ships and not a zillion people.

My experience on Princess ships (Sapphire, Diamond, Star, Sea, Crown) is that the loungers that were at the aft pool deck didn't have any padding so weren't that comfortable but fine. I found padded loungers around the main pool area and by the Lotus Pool area. These were the most comfortable loungers.

The only aft loungers on the Coral/Island are in the extra cost Sanctuary.
