Oasis Class Deck 14 Balconies

Recommended Posts

Looking at the overhang, is it a safe bet that these balconies pretty much never get any real sun?

I would think that the deck 14 balconies get the same real sun as the deck 12, 11, 10, 9, and 8 deck balconies.

We were in cabin 14594 and had just as much sun as all the other balconies. We had the same concerns as you and thankfully there was no issue:)

Wilda that is our cabin in May 2013. Any problems with being under the pool?

Steve,

In this case I'm not sure the picture shows the effect of the overhang. When you took this picture the sun was on the other side of the ship. You can see the shadow of the ship in the ocean. Every balcony on this side of the ship would look like this picture.

That is correct...but it shows a very good representation of exactly what the overhang looks like. Notice that deck 14 is also a bit squished....you don't have the ceiling height on the balcony as all the other decks.

No noise at all:) That was a concern for us since we were right underneath it but we didn't hear a thing!

Many of us have had a different experience. You will hear music and noise from the pool area during the day. It will not be really loud, but your balcony may not be as quiet as you like to read and relax.

You will have noise form cleaning during the middle of the night between 3 and 4 in the morning. They drag and drop the deck chairs as they clean. Again not terrible, but bad enough I would not stay on deck 14 again.

That is the same thing we kept on hearing about the Serenade but yet we weren't bothered at all. Maybe because we are used to a little noise with our cityish life. We would enjoy hearing a pool band, but would not enjoy hearing chairs dragging at 3-4 am. Unless we are dragging ourselves back to the room at that time. :o

When we on the Serenade we were more or less below the windjammer and we were warned about them dragging chairs to set up tables and chairs in the room with table tennis. Saw the tables and chair set up but life was good.
