Has anyone ever witnessed fellow cruisers...

actually coming to blows on a cruise? I was stunned to have a fight erupt next to me between two women in the main theatre over seats that were being saved.

One almost happened when a server came to bring a drink to someone and another persons view was being obscured.

I am also curious if anyone has seen one of the main shows disrupted to the point of having to stop or being seriously interrupted by somebody in the audience?

I once saw this woman who was traveling with two of her clients... she was upset because the ship let her clients get drunk... she just about threw down on the cruise director and the head bartender!

Not exactly passenger v. passenger, but passenger v. comedian...My (now wife), a friend, and I were at a late night comedy club on Carnival Sensation and a lady from the crowd "interacted" a bit with the comedian. I guess because it was the aft lounge, the crowd was so close, and the lack of a stage where he was performing, she had an unobstructed path to him. After he made a vulgar joke about her boyfriend she actually went after him with her flip flop! Got him about twice across the head. We thought it was part of the show until after security had the couple and the comedian said "I'm done with this..." and ended the show right then and there. Didn't see either of them, nor the comedian anymore for that matter.

No, seriously. She was like "These are my clients! I am responsible for them! How could you let them drink so much on the first night???? Can't you tell that they shouldn't drink on vacation??? Where is John Heald? I want to file a complaint! THESE ARE MY CLIENTS! Don't let them off the ship without me!!!"

Believe me... it made for quite a spectacle and quite a trip!

What role did the cruise director play in letting the clients get drunk?

What kind of 'client' is she talking about?

Not sure... Never could tell. She was angry though.

And there was something about one of the clients not coming home until really really late... she must have had a bedtime or something... and missed it because she was so sloshed. It was fun to watch. Much better than reality TV.

I didn't see this one, but there was a couple in a huge argument in the room next to us on one cruise. We had left port about an hour earlier and the woman was screaming, "I'm going to the bridge and I'm going to tell the Captain he is letting me off this boat before I spend another night with you!"

We could hear just about every word of the argument they were so loud. I missed what the initial infraction was, but we got a good laugh at the image of this woman marching herself to the bridge, knocking on the door, and telling the Captain to let her off the boat while we were out to sea. :p

It really was... she was all concerned that they were going to get off the ship without her... and have fun without her or something. Now I remember... she was yelling about her clients spending through most of their money on the first night... it was supposed to last them the whole week... and they spent a lot on getting drunk... was trying to hold the captain, the cruise director, the bar tender and the woman at the gift shop responsible.

On our first cruise this guy was totally wasted and got cut off by the bartender. He went totally insane and went nose to nose with the bartender. He was escorted out of the bar by security. Don't know what happened to him after that.

On our last cruise in June this guy was at guest services calling them all kinds of names including the word f'ing f@@got (YIKES) all because he he went over his cash limit and was asked to put more money down. Btw, this was the 2nd day of the cruise. Meanwhile he had a beer in his hand the whole time he was carrying on and was demanding a pack of cigarettes and if this f'ing f@@got didn't give him a pack of cigarettes he was going to kick is ass! The man at guest relations handled himself beautifully. Security was called and he calmed down and was escorted back to his cabin. I saw him every day after that and no matter what time of day it was he had a beer in his hand. DAMN! He must have put more money down! :D

I would love to run into that group again... so many unanswered questions about what was going on... it was exciting to watch... I felt really bad for the clients... they should have asked the Captain for a new room.

The people at guest services must have to pass a stoicism test because they are subjected to all kinds of verbal abuse and I have never seen any of them lose their cool.

This is a great thread though! I am taking my clients on a trip next month. I already laid down the law with them. The only thing that will stand between me and a good time is the drive to the airport. There may be a snow storm coming though. That will complicate things. All I can say is that my clients better not spend my money before they are supposed to. We are on a tight budget.

The most interesting part was when I got home!

My "friend" refused to pay for booze that I bought her because it wasn't the liquor she had requested. When she came to pick up her Crown Royal she noticed the bottle was chipped at the opening. My friend refused to drink it because she thought there might be glass in the bottle, which may be true. But that leaves me out of $17.00 because she refuses to pay up.

Last time I tell you!! LAST TIME!
