ClairetoCruise Posted August 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2012 Which insurance do you recommend for the best immediate assistance during a cruise related emergency? Wish to cruise Europe or Caribbean w/Pre-Existing Condition, need help before selecting ins provider. All experiences appreciated. Claire

sirwired Posted August 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 24, 2012 I believe all the major insurers have 24x7 worldwide help lines. (Outside of the US, you call them international collect.) I've had to use TravelGuard's once and they were fine; I imagine they all use the same collection of companies to provide the emergency assistance instead of doing it in-house, since they all offer the exact same set of services. (Which in turn is the same as what credit cards offer, etc.)
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 25, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 25, 2012 We purchase Medjet assist for emergency situations. But you really have to figure out what works for you so go to insurmytrip.com to search on plans and then read the details. The devil is in the details.
