cruisinJenF Posted September 20, 2012 #26 Share Posted September 20, 2012 Sis had to take her receipts to the cashier cage to get her Match Play coupons. Did you? And if so, what did they tell you? On past cruises the drinks that got the Match Play had a red stamp on them saying to take them to the cage for the $5 Match Play card. I saw plenty of people with receipts with the red stamp on this cruise but none of mine were stamped so I did not take them to the Casino.
wecamp Posted September 27, 2012 #27 Share Posted September 27, 2012 So the program is 25% off for a bucket of beer or bottle of wine. Does the bucket of beer count as 4 beers out of your 15 and how does the bottle of wine count?
emod20 Posted September 27, 2012 #28 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I just want to add i have some friends 6 couples that go on a all inclusive trip every year ( like sandals) i keep trying to get them to try a cruise but always the same answer wont do it because they dont want to pay for there drinks. now they have a good time my close friend got a 64 oz mug for the one this summer and they were more than happy to fill it as it was less trips. he never passed out (was beer in his case) couple days he was TIRED and just drank water most of the day never had trouble there entire group, did they see some people falling down drunk YES but dont you on all cruises. i am just saying i think that that is carnivals way of attracting some of these people. and i have seen there cost for these and lets say it is attractive, i much perfer cruise but they dont (but they have never been on one)
absolutely brilliant Posted September 27, 2012 #29 Share Posted September 27, 2012 We are sailing on the Splendour in May out of NYC & I assume that drinks purchased on HMC are included?
klmorg Posted October 1, 2012 #30 Share Posted October 1, 2012 I have asked this question before, and have seen it asked before on one of these threads, but don't recall seeing the answer by anyone with firsthand experience. I know buckets of beer, souvenier cup drinks, and those awesome beer tubes from the RedFrog pub are NOT included in this program, BUT do these qualify for the 25% discount for purchases over $10???
ed1958 Posted October 1, 2012 #31 Share Posted October 1, 2012 My wife and I purchased this program on the Spirit a couple of weeks ago, and no one mentioned any limit of 15 drinks per day. The card they give you explaining the program does not have any limit listed either. We never had an issue with anyone saying we could not have any more drinks. We never went over 30 drinks a day between the two of us, based on our sign and sail statement, but one day we did hit 27, so I would guess I may have going over the 15 by a couple as my wife does not drink as much as I do, so the limit is not official, I think they probably use it as a guide for bartenders to help them stop serving someone who gets a little to drunk. Right now the program is on 4 ships... Have not seen whether it will be rolled out to other ships or not..

lbfluffy Posted October 1, 2012 #37 Share Posted October 1, 2012 I'm wondering if you can just buy the souviner cup separatly if people want to. I have a ton of them in my cupboard, but hey a few more wouldn't hurt. Of course hubby might not like it. He says they are all the same anyway. kimmiec Posted October 1, 2012 #39 Share Posted October 1, 2012 this program is already on the breeze which we will be sailing on in december. Can you purchase the "awesome bar package" on certain days? or do you have to purchase it for everyday you are on the cruise? and can you purchase it when you get on the boat or before you cruise? thanks!!!!!!!!!! Winterstale Posted October 1, 2012 #40 Share Posted October 1, 2012 You can purchase it any time during the first two days (day one being embarkation) - after that, it's no longer available to buy. You have to buy all days -- if you start on embarkation day and it's a 7 night cruise, you pay all 7 nights - you do not pay for the day you get off the ship (obviously). Sea__Shell Posted October 1, 2012 #41 Share Posted October 1, 2012 Let's say you have 2 adults in a cabin but one of them has a medical condition and can not and does not drink alcohol. I wonder if Carnival would except a dr's note to verify the information and just let the one adult purchase the drink package. Anyone have any experience like this? I was wondering about this too. So if I decide to buy it on day two of my cruise then will I only have to pay for the remaining five days?
