sail7seas Posted October 4, 2012 #26 Share Posted October 4, 2012 I have been able to find out the number of days we haveaccording to the HAL site but I cannot find the number of actual sea day. Is this available on their site? Yes, indirectly. If you log in and go to My Account and click on My Mariner Status on the left side you will see four columns: Cruise Day Credits, Onboard Spend {sic} Cruise Day Credits, Suite Bonus Cruise Day Credits, and Total Cruise Day Credits. Column A is the actual sea or cruise-tour days. The easiest thing to do is take the Total in the lower right corner and subtract what's in columns B and C. That is what I do when checking our number of days. I wish they would run a total for actual days and/or the bonus days. It's a nuisance doing the arithmetic for those who have a very long list of cruises. :o :D

OVgirl Posted October 4, 2012 #28 Share Posted October 4, 2012 Strictly Sea Days are all that count toward the Mariners Medallion Program. There are two Mariner's Programs running concurrently. The Star Mariner Program caps off at 200 days (until you get into the Five Star/President's Club over 1,400 or some such number of days. ) Bonus days for booking a suite and for spending count toward Star Mariner Program but do not count toward the Medallion Program. Copper Medallion = 100 days Silver Medallion = 300 days Gold Medallion = 500 days Platinum Medallion = 700 days Those are real, actually on the ship days. :) How about the "Suite" bonus days? Do they also count towards the medallions or are they only used to calculate the star status?
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 4, 2012 #29 Share Posted October 4, 2012 How about the "Suite" bonus days? Do they also count towards the medallions or are they only used to calculate the star status? The "Suite" bonus days do NOT count towards getting medallions. It is actual days sailed only to get a medal.
bepsf Posted October 4, 2012 #30 Share Posted October 4, 2012 This question got me thinking. Does any other line do this? I know Cunard doesn't. They do when you book in the Grilles ;) :D

NoobCruise Posted October 5, 2012 #35 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Does anyone know if purchases made online before the cruise (Pinnacle, Tamarind, etc.) count towards earning bonus cruise days like the amount spent onboard does? Thanks in advance! Yes, they count! We did our first 7 day cruise in Sept. We booked excursions, Pinnacle, alcohol for cabin etc in advance. Our bill at the end of the cruise was about $150. We've been credited 21 cruise days. We had a suite so 14 days credited for a 7 day cruise. The rest was mostly stuff I bought online in advance. We had a few drinks on the cruise, but we rarely drink anyway, so not a big bar bill. We brought back almost full bottles we had bought for our cabin lol
