barnowl1950 Posted November 15, 2012 #58 Share Posted November 15, 2012 If anyone can answer this please? Where has this year gone  when you turn 50, do they speed the clocks up? Don't know RR we could do our heads in thinking about it :( The same thoughts struck me years ago! Maybe it's best to enjoy each year as much as we can :) (or can afford to) and just hope nothing goes wrong. Had a really awful week myself. Cappers Posted November 15, 2012 #59 Share Posted November 15, 2012 If anyone can answer this please? Where has this year gone  when you turn 50, do they speed the clocks up? 50,,,I think the clocks double-time it at about 45,,or maybe even 39! I have no idea where this year has gone but as Dr Soren said to Captain Picard,,"time is the fire in which we burn" .

jenny wren Posted November 19, 2012 #69 Share Posted November 19, 2012 Seems ages since we had a conversation!!! :) From what I read the cruise after yours had a bit of rough weather.....or was it yours? Sounded a bit scary to say the least with generators packing up whilst they were in rough seas.... .thankfully we had calm seas most of the way just a bit of a swell across the Bay of Biscay on our return....generally good weather for the whole month. Now waiting to see what happens to the IE ...after singing her praises to several people... it will be sad if she goes.:(

ekco Posted November 22, 2012 #74 Share Posted November 22, 2012 I would even go as far to say like a Politician. Or is that a bit low? No, not too low. Evasive on the IE I thought but like a politician he told everyone what they wanted to hear. A good bit of PR though, or am I just an old cynic? I thought he did a good job of making it look as though he was acting on members requests when the company already had plans to change the things they were asking about. It did cross my mind that the secretary was doing all the work, lol. I now vill also go on ze list, lol.:D Jan
