seannyice81 Posted November 10, 2012 #27 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Pricing and ports. Also, seeing the trademark funnel as I get closer to the ship that will take me on my vacation.
mstrtchr247 Posted November 10, 2012 #28 Share Posted November 10, 2012 The Splendor sailing from Long Beach. I'm too excited to sleep! Oh yeah, that's what deck chairs on the balcony are for.
jnet2213 Posted November 10, 2012 #29 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Great prices, no need to fly, lots of fun, not too stuffy, and the service and food in the MDR are the best we have seen so far. :)
T. Advisor King Posted November 10, 2012 #30 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Good question, SweetC. I guess for me it is a combination of the price, and the fact that CCL seems to draw a broader demographic, including lots of young people and kids. You may hear a lot of complaints about kids (e.g., splashing in the hot tub or riding up and down in the elevators for fun), but I think 99% of kids are great. Try hanging out with kids for a few minutes and next thing you know you'll be acting like one!
Gig103 Posted November 10, 2012 #31 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Food! I only had one Carnival cruise but I thought the main dining room did an awesome job. This is before the "Didja" menu change, but their prime rib was fantastic, they had fried German spaezle noodles, and their desserts were all great. I look at photos of the new 2.0 upgrades and wish I was eating a Guy's burger every time. Edit: A close second is the Punchliner Comedy Club. Having four different comedians on a 7 night cruise was so great!

Warrior64 Posted November 10, 2012 #34 Share Posted November 10, 2012 Without a doubt, it would be the cove balcony. Room service brings my pot of coffee at 7 and out to the balcony I go.....doesnt get much better than that:)
