Hi GG1

Indeed the Island Escape is a very good ship for Solo Travellers, they have a crew member set up especially for solo passengers to arrange Dinners (share tables) and Meetings etc.

My lad who came with us had a single cabin and they are fine ;)

Any more questions please don't be afraid to ask.

I agree. On our first cruise I thought that it would be an ideal holiday to go on alone. I was up early using the gym on my own and one night stayed in the bar chatting for a short time while my OH went back to the cabin. I would never dream of doing that on any other holiday and felt totally comfortable and safe wandering about the ship alone.:):)

Please make sure you read these 2 posts before booking though, the IE might still be sailing next year, no one knows what is happening (apart from Thomson are still selling the crusies aboard the IE).

That said, if she is still sailing, you will have a great time, as we did for our 3 nights (we had to sail the Spirit for the first 4 nights due to IE being a week late back in service - still, got 2 ships for the price of 1, a free trip in Tenerife and £300 spending money aboard the ship, when on AI it went on other things, and even got a cash refund when we left).
