Rare coldweather Posted January 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2013 (I am posting here because this port is not listed in the port review section.) This is a nice stop. When getting off of the ship, tourist information is right in front of you. They can connect you with car taxis and water taxis to get you to the beautiful beaches. There are a few shops but not that much. One block inland from the dock is a main road with stores and some shops for the visitors. As the weather was not good, we just stayed in the port area and went to the “central” beach next to the tender dock. There is one restaurant that will provide chairs/table if you eat. Otherwise this beach is a do-it-yourself. You can just lay your towel down and hang out. There is no place to rent umbrellas. I hope you find this review helpful! Rare coldweather Posted January 1, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted January 1, 2013 I received a request to comment on the water temperature. In December 2012 the water was brisk but swimable. It was NOT Carribbean warm. Many locals were in the water so it was not that bad.
Rare coldweather Posted January 23, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted January 23, 2013 I received a request that a fellow CC poster can't find my reviews. This post will bump it to the top so it can be found.

trixietx Posted January 29, 2013 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2013 We stopped there in 2008, took a taxi with another couple and had a nice lunch!
