Skidmarks Posted January 9, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2013 Is this true for all RCCL ships? We are looking at OASIS in June. RCCL; From 1st November 2012, guests are now allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine or champagne on board at embarkation. These are for consumption in the stateroom. If a guest wishes to consume these in any dining venue or bar/lounge, there is a corkage fee of 25USD per bottle. No other drink than wine or champagne will be allowed. meapya Posted January 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2013 before our cruise on 16Dec last year, i went to my local grocery store and bought 2 bottles of red wine. both for a total WELL under $20. there were like 10 of us in in our group and the 2 bottles lasted enough for each of us to get 1 glass of wine during the formal nights. compared to the on board prices, i would have paid like $40 or $50 PLUS corage fees, totalling say $80 or so. Thats my estimate. i carried them on in my backpack and was not hastled at all. :D
