Bases5 Posted January 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Is the real benefit of ES after final payment? What would stop you from getting the better price before final payment regardless what rate you booked under? Could you just switch to ES at final payment. For those that book well in advance wouldn't booking without the ES restrictions especially if you can get a better price (Casino) be more advantages? ready123go Posted January 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2013 Is the real benefit of ES after final payment? Not necessarily, we book ES. Our last cruise dropped after final payment and we ended up with OBC. Our current cruise dropped about 2-3 months ago. Now our final payment is lower. This cruise has gone up for everyone that books now. If our current cruise drops lower than our current price-per-person after final payment we will have OBC too. Could you just switch to ES at final payment. No. ES is only available to book 3 months ahead of time for 3-5 day cruises and 5 months ahead of time for 6+ day cruises Carnival ES Link
LoriTX Posted January 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2013 We usually book early saver - it really has saved us money after final payment! Last cruise we had $400 in onboard credits! Check all the rates you qualify for! This cruise I got a good deal on Casino Rate! So far nothing has even come close to our Price + Casino Cash!:D
