dlong1969 Posted February 5, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2013 First time I was on the Freedom, there was a TV in the cigar lounge. Second time, it was no longer there. I guess it got broken during the really bad storm off the coast of Florida a couple years back... Do you know if they ever replaced it? Or is there still no TV? macruisefan Posted February 5, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I would HOPE there is no tv in there. I hate the fact that there seems to be a need to put televisions everywhere. I would hate to try and relax and enjoy a cigar with a tv blaring....
Pomperaugrr Posted February 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I just got off of the Freedom on Sunday. There was no TV in there. It was still a great place to enjoy a nice cigar. They did have a special "Cigars Under the Stars" event, on the evening of the deck dance party. They had nice padded chairs and tables set up in the area in front of the Sky Bar. It was fun to enjoy music and the night air while enjoying a good cigar. It did sprinkle a few times, but it was not that much of a problem. I have never seen a TV in the Connoisseur Lounges on any of the ships I have been on. I actually prefer the quiet atmosphere, so you can have conversations. dlong1969 Posted February 5, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I personally don't care if there is one in there or not. I usually get talking with other cigar smokers... but my wife graciously joins me and likes to watch the TV that was in there.
Gibbs1986 Posted February 5, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2013 I was on Freedom last march and there was a TV in there. Maybe it was because of March Madness but it was nice to sit there enjoy a nice smoke and drink of choice while watching college ball!
Elvis1209 Posted February 8, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2013 I've been on a few Voyager class vessels and Freedom of the Seas and there was never a TV in the cigar lounge. I don't go in there to watch TV! In fact, if there was no TV in my cabin it wouldn't matter. People are losing the fine art of conversation! avril4111 Posted February 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2013 Well, there was definitely a TV in the cigar lounge on the Adventure in December. I joined my DH in there nightly!!
