tigermaroon2 Posted June 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Since I've been hanging around here the past couple of weeks, I've learned the Jubilee has been retired from CCL. I don't see much about it on here..but since she was my first voyage, is there anyone else here that cruised her?

modnar Posted June 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2005 She was our first cruise, as well. We sailed the Jubliee out of Galveston to the Mexican Riviera in July 2003.
bosco21 Posted June 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 7, 2005 The Jubilee was my family's first cruise as well - it had to be back in the mid-late 90's. The cruise ships have certainly come a long way since then;)
Keith & Irish Posted June 7, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Lot of first cruises on the Jubilee :D . It was also our first (and only) cruise back in August 1994. We are booked on the Pride on June 19 so we'll have something to compare her to.

klfhngr Posted June 7, 2005 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I have several times beginning in the early 90's. I did an Elvis imitation for the talent show, jumpsuit and all!
JGB Posted June 7, 2005 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Twice on the Mex Riv run. First cruise ever 17 Dec. 1995. Then again in June 1997. I still have the Capers from both those cruises! Plus the Carnival 1996-1997 brochure. The prices are lower today than in that brochure. John

cali-croozer Posted June 7, 2005 #12 Share Posted June 7, 2005 We were on the innagural sailing of the Jubiliee, I believe in 1986? OK, it was the 2nd sailing, but I guess the 1st for "normal folk" so they still called it the "innagural sailing". It cruised the Carribean then, eastern one week and western the next. We loved it so much, we booked it for the next year as soon as we came home.....same room too! They had great sail away partys in those days! Momto3InTn Posted June 7, 2005 #16 Share Posted June 7, 2005 She was our first too!! :) We did the Western Caribbean from Galveston in November 2002. Everything about that ship from the cruise director to our room steward to our waiter in the dining room made us fall in love with cruising!!:D Rhonda
AIMS312 Posted June 7, 2005 #17 Share Posted June 7, 2005 She was my first cruise in May of '03, the 5 day Western Caribbean. I was really sad to see her go, but I would LOVE to sail out of Australia. And from the pictures I have seen of her recently, they did a great job of her "facelift". JimnAZ Posted June 7, 2005 #20 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Our first cruise, we sailed her 1/6/1996 on our honeymoon to the Mexican Riviera. We had a blast and have been cruising ever sence. We have been on newer and bigger ships but their will always be somthing about your first ship. When we got off at the end of the cruise I looked over at my wife she was crying. I said what is wrong I just had the time of my life. She said " I do not want to go home ".

I was just looking at the photos from that sailing....15 years later....
Nautical but Nice Posted June 8, 2005 #23 Share Posted June 8, 2005 My 2nd cruise was on the Jubilee to the Mexican Riviera over Christmas week 1990. I still remember my grandma missing Christmas dinner because we couldn't drag her out of the casino!!! Cruised the Jubilee again in January 2004 to the Southern Caribbean. What a great "little" ship.
