On Boarding, What Do You Do First?

As a new cruiser, set to begin a two-week cruise in the Mediterranean in three weeks, I have a question for the experienced persons on this board.

Is there anything a passenger should do at once upon boarding to avoid disappointment. I have in mind signing up for beauty appointments before formal evenings, arranging massages at convenient times, consulting with the dining room about desired table seatings, deciding whether to eat on a particular evening in the Verandah vs. the dining room, snapping up videotapes from the library, or deciding on small and limited size shore excursions. Or can that wait? As passengers on another line several years ago, we found that virtually all of the above were "sadly unavailable" the morning after embarking. What about Seabourn?

Am I an "experienced" Seabourn cruiser? Well, I've only cruised once on the Seabourn Legend and it was fabulous, so I guess I'm experienced. I never found it a problem to book an appointment in the salon or spa. Making a reservation for the Verandah was no problem although I really preferred eating in the dining room. Videos and books were always available. The only thing I suggest is if you really, really want to do a particular excursion, then book it immediately. You can go to shore excursion desk in the main lobby, fill out form and drop it in the box. HTH and enjoy your cruise. You will love Seabourn!!

The 1st thing I always remember is to find my housekeeper and ask her to please leave a "spa" robe in my suite~~~~as the big terrycloth ones are just TOO big for me. The thin, short "spa" robe is just perfect!
Next thing to do is: "Run up to the Sky Bar to see everybody......we usually meet there for the sail-a-bration!"
