Anything near port?

Hi all,

Visiting St Kitts soon and wondering if there is anything near the port or within walking distance?

Thanks for any help!

At the bottom of the port there is the National Museum which is worth taking a look - USD 3 per person. Literally, a couple mins. into the town centre there is the Berkeley Memorial/Clock Tower and within easy walking distance there is Independence Square with its fountain ( once a former slave market and was called Pall Mall in colonial times), the Catholic Co-Cathedral, the Georgian House- now known as the Clico Building, Georgian wooden architecture, the Anglican Church which has a remarkable history and Gov't headquarters.

About 15 mins walk from Port Zante, westwards, along the Bay Road/seafront you come to the War Memorial and Palms Court Gardens - entrance fee USD 2 and if want to use the pool it is US 10. On some days it can get quite busy. Taxi fare to Palms Court Gardens is USD 8 one way for 1 - 4 persons.
