Just returned from the Glory on 2/17/13. Thought I'd write a quick review.

We flew into Ft. Lauderdale. Used SAS transportation. 15.00 pp.

Embarkation was very quick

Room was ready by 12:30 (AFT balcony cabin Empress... loved it!!)

Guys Burger... Loved it!

Steakhouse... Disappointed with. Not happy with the service. Food was ok

Red Frog Bar - Carlton was great getting drinks

Anytime dining - Chuleekorn, Oksana, Narumon were amazing. Have always done the anytime dining and really like it. Never had a wait. The food was good.

Nassau... Stayed on the ship

St. Thomas.. Took a taxi tour of the island. 25.00 pp. Went to highest point of the island. Very beautiful. Went to Coki Beach... taxi service came back for us for another 9.00.

San Juan.... Went to the two forts. Cost for both is 5.00. Took the free trolley to and from (no need for taxi.. when the trolley is free) The forts are really cool and the views are beautiful.

Grand Turk... Favorite port. Started on the beach right by the ship, and then moved to the pool at Margaritaville. Did the flow rider and had a blast. The guys working it were great. Showed you how to do different tricks. Would definitely recommend. Took a walk on the beach (if coming off the boat going to the right, past the small pier is a conch beach. Lots of large conch shells)

Hasbro Game show was fun.

Latin, Mojo and Diva show were great. The singers/dancers are very talented.

Comedy show- went to one show which was pretty good.

Cruise Director - Josh.. was ok. Didn't see him much around ship except at the shows. Emerson (assistant) was alot of fun.

Disappointed that there wasn't more activities. Seemed like alot of activities were geared for indoors (Bingo, shopping, talks). Not sure why they don't do more around the pool area, and put on the big screen.

Chairs... On sea days get out early to get a chair. We were outside at 7:45 and the closest chair was up by the water slide. No one enforced the 40 minute chair rule.

Overall we had a great time. The service was great (other than the Steakhouse) and everyone went above and beyond. We had alot of fun, and really enjoyed the Glory. Sadly the week went too fast.

Oh... and they took our friend's power strip from their suitcase. They got it back the day we left.

Thanks for your review! We will be sailing on the Glory in 3 weeks & can't wait!! Looking forward to having an extended aft balcony for the first time :)

We will be flying into Ft. Lauderdale & have booked SAS transportation to the POM...what time did they pick you up & did you use FTTF option?

Thanks for the review. Have never been on Glory, but we are going to SJ on the Splendor. Been there a million times, but have never seen the forts!! So this is something I plan to do on this cruise. We will not get there until 3pm (May) Are the forts still open late? Also, we plan on taking the free trolley. Do you have to take it from one to the other or can you walk the distance. Will the trolley take you back to ship?? TIA! :)

Stupid of them to take the power strip. There are no rules against them. I took mine on Glory in January and it was NOT confiscated. With all the things people need to charge on a cruise (cell phones, camcorders, still camera batteries, ipods, etc. etc.) along with things they need to plug in, its ridiculous to think they can do all that with one outlet.
