sharonlacey Posted February 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Which would you do for the day, a daypass at Hilton or Carlisle Bay? Also, how much is a taxi to each? Thanks in advance. Sharon
aimodels Posted February 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2013 The Hilton is located at Needham's Point, which is the south end of Carlisle Bay, so the taxi rates would be the same: $10. As to which to pick... It all depends on what you want to do... There are several beach bars along Carlisle Bay, there 's snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming with turtles, you can rent a waverunner... sharonlacey Posted February 21, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Thank you for the infornation. Think we will just go to the beach. Is their a certain area that is better for swimming, food and chairs, etc.?
aimodels Posted February 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Most of Carlisle Bay is perfect for swimming - the boats and waverunners are generally farther out. As for chairs, umbrellas, etc. all the beach bars along the bay (Boatyard, Lobster Alive, Harbor Lights, etc.) will rent those. If you want to swim out to see turtles or the shipwrecks, just look for where the booze cruise cats are anchoring, or hire a local with a boat to take you out for $20.
