hues of blue Posted February 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Need some advice~ we are booking our first cruise on the Summit for next February. I know I want to book the C3 class aft, but not sure if we should go with deck 8 or 9. Any suggestions?? Thanks Sherri
Orator Posted February 21, 2013 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Less noise from above on deck 8.
Wine-O Posted February 21, 2013 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2013 I agree, Deck 8. I would look for a cabin that is not a connecting cabin. Here's a link to the Deck 8 cabins on Summit. Most of the ones back aft are not connecting. You can tell by the line that connects the 2 cabins. http://www.celebritycruises.com/explore/ships/detail.do?shipCode=SM#deck_plans/explore/ships/deckPlans.do%3FshipCode=SM
PelicanLvr Posted February 21, 2013 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Another vote for Deck 8 over Deck 9.
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted February 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2013 Agree on Deck 8 over Deck 9. Deck 7 is fine as well.
Karen@Steve Posted February 22, 2013 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2013 We had a C2 Deck 7 and it was great. Really easy to get down to the Cafe La Bacio in the morning for special coffee. Absolutely quiet.
hues of blue Posted February 23, 2013 Author #7 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Thanks for the answers...looks like deck 8 is the best..now how about someone that has had a room aft on 8 , Catagory C3. Would sure love to see some pictures of those rooms. Thanks Sherri:)
TeaBag Posted February 23, 2013 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2013 We are on deck 8 C3 in April/May. It is an adjoining cabin and we are hoping we get quiet neighbors.
PelicanLvr Posted February 23, 2013 #9 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Hues: Never understood why so many get so hung-up on seeing a photo of a specific room. Look at a photo of any C2 or C3 - they are all the same! That's what your room will look like. Now, IMHO here's some useful info that may help you decide: Having been on 3 of the 4 M-class ships in CC rooms (including Summit), There were crew service doors to work areas accross the hallway from the following cabins: Starboard: 8150 Port: 8165 & 8169 So presuming you do NOT want an adjoining room (and do not want to be near a crew service door) I would try to book something like 8154, 8156, 8162 or 8177. Also (forward of the elevators) 8149 & 8134 are good non-adjoining C3 rooms. Please double-check the latest deck plan to make sure of the non-adjoining nature of these rooms ....but that is what I would book in that "neighborhood" on Summit. Enjoy your cruise. Lsimon Posted February 23, 2013 #10 Share Posted February 23, 2013 All the CC cabins look the same inside except for a couple towards the aft of deck 7. The only differences are the location and the size and shape of the verandas.
hues of blue Posted February 23, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted February 23, 2013 Seeing as this is our first time on a Celebrity ship, I was just looking for info from people who had been in those types of rooms. Thank you all for your advice. Sherri
