golf43 Posted June 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2005 We are going on the Inspiration on July 23, 2005. If we decide to stay on the ship instead of going on a excursion, is there anything to do or eat? Thanks

Buffet is open regular hours. There is bar service. Since most of the people will be going ashore, a more relaxed feeling on the ship
Pumbaamd Posted June 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2005 You don't have to go on an excursion. You can go in to the port (which are they?) and check out the local sites for shopping, eating, drinking, the beach, just hanging out, whatever). IF you stay on board, you will likely have the ship more or less to yourself, as most everyone else goes ashore. The pools are yours, as is the pool bar, the fitness area is yours, the computer center is available mostly to you, no line for lunch, etc. Check out ahead of time each port. See if you wanna go ashore. Check out Cruise Critic's Port of Call section. Get off the ship for a short while anyway, if you don't like it. . . get back on. You've paid to visit a foreign land, you may enjoy it.
Wennfred Posted June 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2005 Also while not a fan of the Spa, They have some cool Day at Port specials, look for those in your Caper. Everything is pretty much open except for the Casino. But like someone mentioned above, you dont have to go and pay for an excursion, just go out and venture, also depending on the Ports you will hit, ask in the Port of Call section of this Website as to whats close to the terminal, Clubs, shopping etc. Have fun, and good luck. Rare blackwing Posted June 9, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2005 It's great. You won't have to fight anyone to get a deck chair. And the slide is pretty much all yours.
sea_u_onboard Posted June 9, 2005 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2005 I'm trying to convince my DH to stay on the ship in Grand Cayman - this will be our 5th visit. There is only so much you can do on that island. Relaxing on the ship sounds WONDERFUL to me.
gypsyrose Posted June 9, 2005 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2005 After 5 visits I believe I would stay on the ship too. It would be like you were staying at a private resort. Enjoy!!
