Some questions for Scubagirl

Hey Scubagirl,

I've been reading your informative posts and hope you can give us some advise regarding hotels following a Blackbeards cruise (April 27th).

We are a couple in our fifties who are flying in a day early to do the shark dive at Stuart Cove's. We are booking at the Towne Hotet that night. Following the cruise we are considering either:

1. Stay at the Towne Hotel again and get a day pass to the RIU OR

2. Skip the masses (4 ships in town on May 4th according to cruiseTT)

and just stay at Sandyport.

We would love to stay at an AI but they are out of our price range.icon9.gif

Are there any 'hidden-gem' small hotels in Nassau that won't show up on Orbitz, ect.?

Does the #10 jitney run to Sandyport? If not, how much for a cab?

Any opinions on the Towne Hotel?

Thanks

Instead of another thread I have one question for Scubagirrl too:)

Our ship docks at 12:00 and leaves at 7:00 from Nassau. Some of our friends in the group want to be able to enjoy a clean and clear beach with chairs and shade (umbrella's is fine), nice food and drinks (doesn't have to be all-inclusive) and be able to do water sports for fee like Jet Ski's Banana boats, Para sailing, etc. I am thinking Atlantis Beach pass is their best option even though food might suck but wanted to check for something better and closer to port. Or better yet, is there a free clean beach with chair and umbrella rentals they can hangout and enjoy good food and water sports?

Thank you again for all your lovely information here and at TA.
