After oasis and allure

To me, the most important thing on a cruise is the production shows at night. I know the guest entertainers change. After seeing the fantastic shows on Oasis and Allure, any suggestions which other ships that sail from Ft. Lauderdale are really good.

The Allure and the Oasis do have the best shows that we have ever seen on a ship. I can not think of any that compare. Maybe the NCL Epic? I have been told the ship has very good entertainment. Not sure if it sails from FLL. We are booked on the NCL Breakaway from NY. It will have entertainment comparable to the Allure and Oasis. :)

Hi,

I have cruised aboard the Allure of the Seas and recently returned from a cruise on the Liberty of the Seas (out of Ft. Lauderdale). I agree with the above comment that the Liberty of the Seas has excellent entertainment. The production shows (Saturday Night Fever and In the Air) were great and the ice show was incredible. I have sailed aboard this ship twice and greatly enjoyed both cruises.

I think Liberty of the Seas' shows are the closest to Oasis' and Allure's. In the Air is basically the same show, there's an ice show, and Saturday Night Fever is the same scale as Hairspray (I thought Hairspray was better, but that might just be my taste in music/musicals :) ).

The evening shows are really important to me, too, and a major factor in why I haven't gone on another cruise lately. Saving up for Allure, as I've already been on Oasis and Liberty, and the shows on the other ships seem to be the typical "revue"-type performances which don't float my boat, so to speak.

We feel exactly the same. Having been on both Oasis and Allure we really wanted to try another ship, but wanted one with Broadway quality shows. After much research we decided to book the new ship by NCL called Getaway which will launch in Jan 2014. It will sail from Miami and follow an Eastern Caribbean route all year round. They have still to announce which Broadway show will be on board, but her sister ship (NCL Breakaway which launches April 2013) will have Rock Of Ages Broadway show and Cirque Dreams, a Cirque Du Soleil type show. Getaway will be similar. NCL Epic has Blue Man Group and Cirque Dreams.

Hope this helps. :)

Book of Mormon

Probably too expensive to buy those rights, but I would expect another Broadway show. It will just need to be something that can be edited down to 90 minutes without gutting too much.

BTW, the very next ship I went on after Oasis was Celebrity Xpedition. So I went from the Biggest to the Smallest
