CRUISIN LINDA Posted March 22, 2013 #62 Share Posted March 22, 2013 Cabin Review Cabin Number: 667 (deck3) Cruise Ship: Dream Date of Cruise: Oct 2011 Bed Formation: 2 lower and 2 upper Bath/Shower?: shower Adjoining Cabin?: no Balcony?: no Comment on the Size of the Cabin: average lower deck cabin Comment on any Noise Issues: none Comment on Storage Space: cupboards, drawers Comment on the Bathroom: needs a bit of TLC Any Other Comments?: In the brochure it is advertised as a double but is in fact a 4 berth, so when the beds are made up as a double, it is difficult to get out of bed without banging your shoulders. Pafos2109 Posted March 23, 2013 #63 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Cabin review Cabin no 718 Ship. Majesty Date of cruise 15 march Bed formation - was set up as double but can b twin plus one upper Bath/shower. Usual shower Adjoining cabin. No Size Outside plus would recommend having as twin as get more room that way Noise issues. We did not have inside cabins opposite us, was machinery of some sort, could b bit noisy but we managed to sleep fine most of time. Could b an issue if u r more noise sensitive. Cupboards etc. two sets of drawers and three door wardrobe Bathroom. Was ok nothing special Other comments. Was made up as double but then space to get by at bottom very limited hence number of lovely bruises on legs! Fridge was handy to keep drinks cool. If u r a smoker was also handy for one of the two decks smoking allowed. Would we recommend? Tbh not sure there are others that are the same but bit quieter and was more to the front so at times was a 'bit wobbly' and we didn't have very rough weather so if did would have potential to b bad Score out of 10.
Little Nell Posted March 23, 2013 #64 Share Posted March 23, 2013 Cabin Review Format Cabin Number:6053 Cruise Ship:Majesty Date of Cruise: May/June 2012 Bed Formation: Two singles and one upper bunk Bath/Shower?: Shower Adjoining Cabin?: No Balcony?: No Comment on the Size of the Cabin: Was smaller than a plus cabin but bigger than a standard. Too small for 3 people. Comment on any Noise Issues: There was a rattle in the walls and vibration. Comment on Storage Space: There was just enough for us. There were 6 drawers and the space for the fridge (but no fridge). There was only a 2 door wardrobe with some drawers and the safe on one side of it. Comment on the Bathroom: The bathroom was adequate. Any Other Comments?: The furniture was tatty with ill fitting drawers and chunks out of the wood. The cabin door had huge dents in it. This cabin has been abused and needs some TLC. The hairdryer is in the chest of drawers and was not very good. The cabin is ideally suited for the stairs and lifts. Would You Recommend this Cabin?: No. I would recommend going to a plus cabin on the Majesty. Link to any Images: Score out of 10:

kruzseeka Posted March 24, 2013 #71 Share Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) Oh thanks so much sue for those pics of the new en-suites on Celebration. :) They are the first ones I've seen. My goodness what a difference! The state of the mosaic tiles (now gone!) have long been my biggest bug-bear on Celebration and the thing which has always let the ship down imo. How smart the new tiling looks! Hooray - I like it! :D Sorry Sailaway I can't help with specific cabin recommendations - I've never been in the habit of keeping my ship's card - just information I think may come in useful about destinations. We always book a cabin - but I just ask my TA to get one in a general area rather than a specific cabin - don't think we've had the same cabin twice! We've never had a cabin which has been so bad that I've made a note to avoid it in future and since we always go in cabins of the same category - they all tend to blend into a muchness - at least on any given ship. But it's a really useful project and well done to you for the idea and all the hard work involved! ;) Edited March 24, 2013 by kruzseeka
Little Nell Posted March 24, 2013 #72 Share Posted March 24, 2013 (edited) I knew you would be well impressed, Kruzseeka, as soon as I saw those lovely en suites :D Thank you so much for posting the photos, Koromo. CRUISIN LINDA Posted March 24, 2013 #73 Share Posted March 24, 2013 Ha ha ha, I was just going to post that you would be impressed with the bathrooms, Kruzseeka and you beat me to it. I must say they look good :) Impressed twice in one week! New loos in Oxford city centre too - they have done away with the nasty metal toilet pans and put in new ceramic ones plus those things in the wall where you get soap, then water, then air - blimey, I thought I was on holiday :D Still over 4 weeks to go :(
