Copenhagen pier for Emerald Princess

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what pier the Emerald Princess is docking at in Copenhagan on May 23, 2013 and June 3, 2013?

Can someone post the website for cruise ship port schedules?

The Emerald docks both times at Sundkaj at Freeport.

Here is the list: http://www.cmport.com/ships-in-port/cruise-ships/~/media/docs/business%204/cruise%20passenger%20information/cruise%20calls%20season%202013%20as%20per%20march%202013.ashx

Here are the docks:

Thanks!

Does anyone know if there are a lot of taxis at Freeport to pick up cruise passengers? How far is Freeport from CPH and about how much will a taxi cost?

Wondering if it's better to take a taxi or cruise transfer to the airport.

There are escalators and elevators at Nørreport but I will contradict CMPort on this matter.

Change at Østerport instead and take the airport train instead, the Øresund trains that runs to the airport are way more comfy than the metro.

It probably takes a few minutes longer but is worth the extra time.

Nørreport is also facing a major reconstruction that will end in 2014 or 15, I think they are done in the S-train platforms and the metro platforms are unaffected by this.

But the surface area, long distance platforms and the tunnel leading from the S-train and long distance platform to the metro is also affected.

What transportation is available to get from Freeport pier to Langelinie Pier? We will be there on Sunday.

Hi Grammyluvs,

Bus #26 would take you from Freeport to Langelinie, but I don't believe that it runs on Sunday. Alternately, you could take the S train from Nordhavn station to [/url]Østerport staion & then walk to Langelinie (this option would require about 10 - 15 minutes of walking on both ends, from Freeport to Nordhavn is an easy 15 min walk & from Østerport to Langelinie is another 10 to 15 min walk.

We have done the walk with luggage to/from Freeport (each had one large piece of rolling luggage + backpack).

Of course, there will be taxis available at the pier.

Yes and no.

When taking the bus to the ports its branch out after Østerport station.

The primary branch runs in a 20 minute intervals towards Langelinie (sometimes only to the bottom of Langelinie at Indiakaj)

Then there is the other branch that also runs in a 20 minute interval.

This one is heading towards Færgehavn Nord or Unicef, this is the one that doesn't run in weekends and public holidays but is sadly also the location of the Freeport terminal.

On Saturdays its just ends at Søndre Frihavn a few 100 metres away from Indiakaj and Langelinie Pier.

On Sundays and public holidays it doesn't run at all so there will only be a 20 minute schedule on the entire line Between Ålholm and Østerport where it normally will have a 10 minute interval.

When the new cruise terminal opens in 2014 then I hope that they will keep it running when the cruise ships are in port because the new terminal is not in walking distance to Nordhavn Station and the metro out to the freeport will first start running in 2019 or something.
