Tracksuits on Alaska cruise

My wife and I are flying from Brisbane (Australia) to Singapore and Beijing to join the Diamond Princess on the 23 night cruise to Alaska and Vancouver.

Weight limitations on the aircraft are such that we need to be careful to pack a range of cloths to wear in the tropics as well as Alaska etc. Suits and the like to wear on Formal nights are definitely "out".

I presume the interior of the ship is climate controlled and wonder if a conventional "Tracksuit" is acceptable to wear on board during the day. Could we expect to see tracksuits being worn at breakfast and lunch etc? How about the same thing in the Buffet for the evening meal?

Any advice and comment appreciated....... Thanks.....\\\

Yes that will be fine!

My mom has a black velour tracksuit of some sort. She puts a red tank on underneath and wears that to formal night. They can be quite versatile. She gets a lot of compliments and I am surprised how well it works out for her.

Enjoy your cruise!

Yes. Fine for wear during the day.

A couple of things to keep in mind is that there are self-serve laundries onboard so it's easy to wash your clothes. Also, as we (I'm on the same cruise) sail towards Alaska, bring clothing that layers. I don't plan on packing anything that's heavy or bulky. I'll bring tank tops to layer under t-shirts and light sweaters with a lightweight fleece vest under a lined windbreaker. All these except the vest and windbreaker can be worn in warm weather as well.
