We want to go to the fish camp on our own. Does anyone know how much it will cost to take a cab there? Will there be cabs at the port when we get off or do we have to make arrangements ahead of time? Thanks in advance for your replies!

I do not have an answer on taxi fares, however, if you consider getting a rental car, you can visit the Lone Cabbage Fish Camp and a lot more. Costwise, it probably wouldn't be any more.

Here is what you can do in the area:

1. Brevard Zoo

2. A 2-hour boat ride on the Indian River Lagoon with Island Boat Lines http://www.islandboatlines.com/Home_Page.php

3. An airboat ride at Lone Cabbage Fish Camp http://www.twisterairboatrides.com/

4. Kennedy Space Center (NASA is a gov't agency over KSC, not the destination)

5. Ron Jon's Surf Shop (for looking or buying).

Of course, a rental car is required.

Is Lone Cabbage Fish Camp one of the "must do's in Cocoa Beach?? Will be our first time to Cocoa Beach area.

I think the only must do is the Kennedy Space Center, but even that is not for everyone. If you want a real Florida experience, take an airboat ride.
