How many do back to back cruises?

We are going on Liberty in April and doing the western caribbean first, then followed by eastern caribbean. Anybody else do two cruises in one holiday?

Curious as to embarkation from end of first week, to get set for second week. We get to keep the same cabin, so we don't have to take all our gear off, then bring it all back again.

Would entertainment etc all be the same for the second week?

Can hardly wait for holidays =)

I am interested in anyone with experience in b2b cruises as well. Me and my fiance are doing b2b on the Carnival Glory in November.

Have you confirmed you can leave your stuff in your room during the transition?

Yes, I asked the Carnival planner about it, and she confirmed that we stay in the same cabin for both legs of the trip, and cabin number is the same on both invoices

I have a friend that travels this way often too, and they stay in same cabin

I did back to back on the freedom a few years ago and was able to leave all stuff in the room. I made sure to have a talk with my room steward to let him know as well, just in case... We all met in one of the conference rooms for the second cruise and then were escorted off the ship and then back on basically... Very easy process... Doing back to back on the Splendor in July this year

How long did you have to be off the ship before getting back on again, and were you able to get on before everybody else?

We don't like short cruises -- Carnival doesn't offer much else. Any Carnivals we do will most likely B2B -- We've got two 7's coming up in October. :)

When the Spirit was in S.D. we didn't have to get off the ship at all -- I understand it's different at most other ports.

Thanks for the info! I was hoping getting off and back on wouldnt end up being a huge hassle. I did not know how equiped Carnival was at taking care of B2B'ers, but it sounds like it is more common than I thought.

We only do b2b's anymore with Carnival since they do not have longer cruises. The process is very easy. They give you a letter the day before debarkation telling you when and where to meet the day of the debarkation of the first cruise. You will meet where specified. They will take your old S and S card and give you a new one. You are sailing out of Miami so they will walk you off the ship...down the escalator and through customs. Then you will be taken back to the ship...will get your new pic on your S and S card when boarding and you can go your happy way.

I always tell my cabin steward...they have always known, last one told me that get a list the day before debarkation as to who is doing a b2b.

I also always go to guest services about midweek make sure they are aware of it.

We always do b2b when we sail. Our airfare from Calgary is very high,

and 1 week doesent make it worth while.

After the first cruise they get all the b2b people together, and lead

them off the ship.At this time they give you your new cards for the second cruise. All your stuff of course stay in your cabin unless you chose

a different cabin for the second leg.

I found the entertainment to be the same, but nice to pick up some

shows you might of missed.

Just finished a b2b on the Breeze.Just great.

Have a great trip.

Same here. Since options from West Coast are pretty much to nothing,

If we end up flying to a port mine as well make it worthwhile and book more than one cruise. It eliminates excessive flying. I did my first B2B last December and it was great.

Doing a B2B2B this October to visit other great islands we didnt visit last year.

we did a b2b in Jan., have another booked for Nov. Just make sure that your b2b are "tied together". Our pvp screwed up and didn't link our Jan. cruises. Found out about not being linked by accident, if it wasn't fixed we were told we would have had to debark the ship with our luggage and then go through security and check in again.

We sailed a BTB on the Fascination in Jan/Feb 2011. We booked a balcony on the first sailing and a suite on the second sailing. When we booked we were told by our PVP we would have to disembark at the end of the first sailing. But the day before disembarkation we received a letter with instructions that our luggage would be moved for us to the suite and to meet in the area next to guest services the next morning. We were happy to find out we did not have to get off the ship at all. They had arranged with customs to process us while on the ship. We were also issued our new cards at the same time. Based on the posts above apparently this is not the normal process, but we lucked out.

We did our first B2B a little over a year ago. They usually change comedians at the Comedy club on Wed. So, we had new ones for the last part of our 2nd cruise. Otherwise the shows, etc. were the same. It is nice because if you miss something on the first cruise, you can always catch it on the 2nd cruise. Much more relaxing.

We did a B2B in 2011 on the Freedom and are doing another one this April on the Liberty. It makes sense for us because airfaire from Alberta to Florida is big bucks. It was a really easy process. We had the same room so we didn't have to pack our stuff up. We received a letter and had to meet with other people who were doing a B2B as well. We were escorted off the ship, waited for a very short time, got new sail & sign cards and were escorted back on the ship before anyone else. When we got back to our room there was a fruit basket and a bottle of sparkling wine.

Thanks so much for all the info everybody, you have helped quite a bit

We are coming from Vancouver BC. We had Carnival set up our flights and it was cheaper for them to do it, then for us. Plus they are putting us up in a hotel the Friday night before sailing

When I went on my first cruise with them, I had them set up the flight and overnight, and it was WAY cheaper going thru Carnival then doing it ourselves. Might work for others as well?

I am happy that we may not even have to get off the ship, as I wasn't really wanting to have to do a "shore excursion" in Miami, lol, just sit on deck and look at the view, ahhhhh =)

We are from Vancouver as well and are doing a b2b because it is such a long flight down we might as well make it a longer holiday. Have you looked into driving down to Seattle and going from there ??? That is now what we do to get to Florida. Take the last flight out at night and get in a day early to enjoy the day and be ready for the cruise the next day.The flights are so much less.

You will absolutely love doing a b2b2b. We did one last year...14 days on the Breeze then jumped ship, drove to Ft. Lauderdale and got on the Caribbean Princess for 7 days. It was awesome!

We do b2bs.

The cruise out of San Juan is very port intesive so we did a b2b so we could do every other port. then do the ones we missed the next week. It was great. 14 days of cruising = wonderful.

The panama canal in January is 16 days. We wont have to do a b2b with that one. hehe.

Another nice thing about the b2b is any booze you buy in the ships store gets delivered to you after the first leg, and you can enjoy on the second leg. :D

Not always. Carnival has gotten sorta smart on this lately. It is best...just to be sure....to buy your liquor on the last night of the first cruise after 7pm in the shop and then they allow you to take it back to the room with you. Also, I wouldn't tell the clerk you are doing a b2b.
