Is a navy blue tuxedo as nice as a black one?

If you are comparing black to navy in the sense of whether or not one is more formal than the other, it's a tuxedo either way, so it will be great.

From a color perspective, I find the idea of a navy tuxedo to be such a refreshing, welcoming sight! The idea if everyone looking good in black is very untrue. Men, like women, should have a choice.

When my dad bought a tux, back in my parents' cruising days, he found a GORGEOUS subtle plaid tux jacket. It was a Christian Dior as I recall. He looked magnificent and I imagine a navy one would be equally stunning.

Funny story. After he passed away, my mom asked me to sell his tux on eBay for her. It sold immediately. The guy who bought it told me that he always swore to his friends that he'd never get married until and unless he could do it in a plaid tuxedo!
