Clocks in Oasis staterooms?

First cruise on Oasis this Sat!! Busy packing this week. Should I bring a travel clock or do the staterooms have bedside clocks? I think I've read conflicting posts on this. Thanks for any information!

We just got back about 2 weeks ago..and the only clock in the stateroom is the one on the phone. We brought one and it was needed

There are no electric clocks in the staterooms because the current fluctuates. We found this out the hard way on one cruise when we brought our small electric clock radio from home, plugged it in, and it lost almost an hour overnight. Not good for planning those excursions! :D:p

 

Bring a travel alarm, or you can use the clock feature on your iPhone (that's what we do now). Also you can set an automated wake-up call using the telephone prompts.

Thank you ... glad I asked! If using iPhone as clock, how do you leave it on without incurring cellular and/or wifi charges? Airplane mode?

We have an inexpensive battery operated alarm clock that we use. The clock on the phone is not readable at night and its the only one in the cabin.

 

As for the i-phone, yes put in airplane mode so that it does not adjust as you go through time zones. If you happen to use it anywhere just make sure the time is consistent with ship time since most phones will change to local time if not in airplane mode.

Good tip here, never thought to take a travel alarm (I don't even recall using a clock much on my last 2 cruises!) Time to order one I guess. :rolleyes:

We like to use the cabin phone for wake up calls, however, the time on the phone is pretty much useless, can barely read it in the daytime and impossible at night. :eek:

 

We always bring a travel alarm clock, mostly for just the time of day and for getting ready for dinner.
