bateau bay Posted April 1, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Has anyone put a slab of soft drink & water in a esky also secuitying with luggage straps and checked it in with your suitcases?
steve1970 Posted April 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2013 Yes. If its sealed they may open esky and have a look. I put it in an overnight bag, then tape the handles together and leave a bit of the zip open so then can easily open and examine it. I would nt put booze in there, it will most probably be sized. pink poodle Posted April 5, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2013 Has anyone put a slab of soft drink & water in a esky also secuitying with luggage straps and checked it in with your suitcases? On a cruise leaving from Brisbane we carried on a slab of soft drinks and bottled water in a small suitcase. They took us to one side and made us open it. A grumpy official made some kind of comment about didn't we know they sold soft drinks on the boat but they let us take it on board and we saved a fortune. suey Posted April 7, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 7, 2013 Never had a problem taking on cartons of soft drinks, either in bags or just as a carton with luggage tag attached!:)
aussiedisneyfan Posted April 9, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 9, 2013 We have taken smaller hard sided esky onboard and the room steward even filled up with ice each day. Friends have taken a camping fridge a couple of times on ships with no fridges to keep medication in, also came in handy for cans of drink.
