Anyone have any issues since the port reopened?

Has anyone that has been there since the port opened up again had any problems? Last I heard they have not really figured out what the problem was and the port is open. I'm there in two weeks and was just wondering. :eek:

We were there last Thursday and have had no issues. Although we did not eat or drink anything while there, lots of people were doing just that. I have not heard of any problems.

I wonder how many people will go to shore but won't eat or drink. That's probably what I will do if they can't figure out what's causing people to get sick.

Was there last week and had no issues. We didn't eat / drink on island but many people were and we didn't hear of anyone getting sick.

Our ship docked in Grand Turk last Sunday. We got off the ship and had a few drinks at Margaritaville and two in our group of six ordered lunch. We had no problems at all. We had a great time!

We just returned from our CCL Liberty cruise last Saturday. We were at Gran Turk on Thur 04/18. My son and college friend stayed at Margaritaville and had a few frozen drinks and some lunch and did not get ill. My dh and I ventured down the beach to Jack's and while I had a few Diet Coke's from the can, my dh enjoyed a few cocktails on the rocks and also did not become ill. We had zero issues at this port.

Great to know. We will be there on 5-21-13. We cannot wait! I do not plan on eating on the island, however that may change once we get there. I am a huge fan of local island food!

Thing is ... We'd been to Grand Turk many times (latest Feb 2013) prior to the closing and never had a problem with the food and drinks we ordered at Margaritaville or Local Village.

 

Sort of makes me think the problem was not a food & drink issue ... but something else. :confused:

 

Whatever, just glad it's been resolved. :)
