Is There a Curfew?

Quick question...when the ship docks overnight, such as the overnight in Quebec City on the Veendam...is there any type of "curfew" that night? Do they keep the gangway open like all night or do they lock you out, lol??

No, there is no curfew & the gangway is open all night. :)

Some ports "accidentally" make you have a curfew. I.e. St Petersburg, Russia - the bridges all go up for the midnight river cruises and if you are on the wrong side of it in downtown, you might be stuck until 4am when they come back down. We made this mistake last summer. Had a BEAUTIFUL river cruise but then sat....However, since most people don't do anything in SP without a ship's tour or a special private tour that will cover your visa, this is not usually a problem (we had our own visas). :) But, we have done the overnight in Quebec City on the Eurodam and there was no curfew at all, so you will be fine!

In the last 8 months, Maasdam has done overnights in Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro and Manaus. The gangway stays open and is manned round the clock until departure. Passengers and crew, when off-duty, are free to come and go as they please.

Fuerte Amador is not a true overnighter and pax All Aboard time is usually by midnight in order to get ready to line up for the east-bound entry into the canal

Interesting info, Copper!

Another tender port for overnight is Padang Bai, Bali.
