PCWalton1 Posted May 31, 2013 Author #226 Share Posted May 31, 2013 How was Rita's? I have it booked, but I keep going back and forth about canceling it. From what I've read it's your typical commercial Mexican food. I hear its only worth it for the fiesta party and the margaritas. I will concur, the food is on the level of Taco Bell on a good night. We went to the fiesta just for the drinks and party atmosphere. Had a great time. :D Sent from my Droid RAZR M using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted May 31, 2013 Author #227 Share Posted May 31, 2013 What great outfits for the prohibition party! I hope you had a blast. We did have a blast. One of our friends dressed as a cop from that era complete with money sticking out of his pocket. He ended up being auctioned off for a dance. We tried valiantly to save him but one lady was bound and determined to win and must have gathered all the play money from the other tables and outbid us. Is the Prohibition party just an Allure thing--I don't remember it on Oasis. If it is on Oasis, how to do you register? Thanks!

PCWalton1 Posted June 1, 2013 Author #243 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Dinner at 150 Central was fabulous again. I will write about it later. We spent an hour in the casino where we actually came away with $100. Now on to Blue Planet Sent from my Droid RAZR M using Tapatalk
PCWalton1 Posted June 1, 2013 Author #244 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Friday night recap We started the evening with our second night of dining at 150 Central. We were lucky to get the same server, Elisabeta from Romania. Very outgoing, was knowledgeable on the meals and not as stuffy as some of the others. Dinner tonight was Falafel - roasted eggplant, pickled vegetables, tahini sauce, flatbread Curried lentil stew - Greek yogurt, cashews, scallions Pan fried gnudi - hazelnuts, cipollini onions, sage, brown butter, piave vecchio Mahogany black cod - whipped parsnips, baby pak choi, mustard sauce Beef two ways - White Oak Pastures filet, Harris Ranch short rib, farro risotto, glazed baby carrots, parsley sauce Mike chocolate cremoso - extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, espresso semifreddo, sourdough crostini. High points for me was the lentil stew and the short rib. I didn't care for the cod, the mustard sauce was too sweet for my liking. However, I would highly recommend the whole menu Sent from my Kindle Fire HD using Tapatalk

I have seen a few reviews saying they were disappointed, we were not. The aerial segments were fun, in particular the underwater segment. For the underwater effect they pulled up a white semi-transparent screen that they projected sea life on. I thoroughly enjoy the gymnastic segment with the trampolines. Well worth watching. Alysia Posted June 1, 2013 #247 Share Posted June 1, 2013
The Schooner Bar piano player is Roxy from Australia. Not sure of his real name, but he is very good. From Billy Joel to Van Morrison, lots of variety. One of our favorite evening bars, music and people watching. He also played in Central Park once or twice.
Thank you for answering and providing a great review. In a week I will be on the Allure of the Seas and hope you have a great time like you are having. Love the pictures!!!

Question, which menu at 150 did you prefer? These are different than what I have seen in the past. We were holding off on booking since figured they would be changing soon. Working on my final planning items and this is on the list :D Want to book as soon as we board.

By far we enjoyed the second menu better. The lentil stew was flavorful, the cod perfectly cooked (though the mustard sauce was a little sweet for me) and the short rib was amazing.
