cruiserinsg Posted September 22, 2016 #51 Share Posted September 22, 2016 Thanks. Have looked into this but really want to spend time at airport and we will have spent the previous day doing what we want to do in Singapore itself. Welcome to Singapore!! Have fun in the BEST Airport in the world. :) There are lots of things you can find in all 3 linked Terminals. There are also places when you can get a nap, massage, butterfly park, duty free shoppings, lounges, local food, restaurants etc after immigration clearance. Hope you have fun exploring our Airport. :)
waggie Posted September 22, 2016 #52 Share Posted September 22, 2016 We have four hours to wait at marina Bay terminal for our planned transfer to Changi. Is there really nothing to do there - no cafes, no shops etc as their website makes no mention of these. Wondering whether to try to rearrange our transfer. Would it be out of the question to see if Etihad have a day flight?Or leave the ship the evening before -whatever you decide pace yourselves well as it is a long day. Yes and no in that order. We have a twenty hour journey back home so night flight first suits us better and we have plans for the day before (Marina Bay Gardens and Botanical Gardens - we've done the town before!). Don't want to miss a day of our holiday either :)

suekay Posted October 31, 2016 #55 Share Posted October 31, 2016 Leave your bags in the terminal and catch the nearby metro to downtown (we went to Chinatown after handing over bags but before checking in for the cruise)

shireboi Posted November 1, 2016 #57 Share Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) just wanting to add my comments re the Marina Bay Cruise Terminal and the nearby MTR station : 1. Yes - it's bit of a walk in the humidity !!!!!! The pathway was bit of a rough job. 2. Stupid- the station has a few steps up to it - unless you go further to the ramp. 3. Tickets.....there was a Singapore Tourist Pass that I wanted to use - http://www.thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/ http://www.thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/about-the-passes/ http://www.thesingaporetouristpass.com.sg/get-singapore-tourist-pass/ (these passes are good for either 1, 2 or 3 days - and can be used to take you to Changi. Note - there is a deposit - which you can get back at Changi or other stations) - HOWEVER - the FAR BETTER VALUE pass - without the PLUS+ - is NOT AVAILABLE from the Marina Bay MTR Station (no... you can only get the more expensive one from this one - why ?? who knows !!) - If you want to grab one of these - then get a single ticket to say Raffles and then alight and buy the Tourist pass there.... but there's more... - The MTR ticket terminal wont take anything over $S10.(You can get change from the customer service at the Marina Bay MTR) - The Singapore Tourist Pass booth will NOT TAKE Mastercards. (the booth is staffed by beyond the exit gates) Hopefully this will be helpful to any further traveler arriving in Singapore. es_2009 Posted November 18, 2016 #58 Share Posted November 18, 2016 We are returning on the Constellation Of the Seas on March 19th (we arrive in Singapore on the 18th and overnight on the ship), and have an early morning flight home on the 19th. Are customs etc. available 24hrs a day for our disembarkation?
Cruzer Two Posted November 23, 2016 #59 Share Posted November 23, 2016 Yes, saw her docked there a few times from Sentosa. :) Would happen to know the location of the closest Hop-on, Hop-off bus stop from this pier? Thanks, Ron

Are customs etc. available 24hrs a day for our disembarkation? We were there just last week and immigration as per immigration is open 24/7 while Cruise ships are docked. We self carried our luggage off on Sunday morning at 6:00am with no problem. Takes longer to walk through then to get through immigration. Singapore is great. Capt. cruiserinsg Posted November 24, 2016 #61 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Would happen to know the location of the closest Hop-on, Hop-off bus stop from this pier? Thanks, Ron If you are at Habourfront MRT, I suggest you take the train instead. You can get the MRT card for sgd@12 ($7 travelling value and $5 refundable value). If you don't have small sgd notes, you can always top-up your card value with at the Station Control. From Habourfront you can travel to Haw Par Villa, Sentosa, Little India, Chinatown almost all major tourist places easily. http://www.yoursingapore.com/see-do-singapore/culture-heritage/heritage-discovery/haw-par-villa.html

We like the overview of a city you get from ridding on the upper deck of a hop-on, hop-off bus. Then you can return the more interesting sites for a closer look. There does not appear to be a stop near the Habourfront Cruise Terminal. This is really unusual! There is a stop right at the port in most cities! Singapore has great immigration. They said they were open 24/7. Capt. Ron
